Tom Holland is clearing up his past comments about his acting hiatus.

A recent Extra the interview included Holland admitting that it had been a “difficult time” filming “The Crowded Room” due to the intense depictions of multiple personality disorder.

“We were exploring some emotions that I’ve definitely never felt before, and then on top of that, being a producer dealing with the day-to-day issues that come with any film set added that extra layer of pressure,” said Holland. . “I loved it, but again, the show broke me. There came a time when I thought, ‘I need a break.’ I disappeared. I went to Mexico for a week and spent some time on a beach. And now I’m taking a year off, and that’s a result of how difficult this show has been.

He added, “I feel like I’ve grown a lot, maybe more in the 10 months of making this show than in my entire career. It definitely feels like the start of the next chapter and I feel really good about it. I’m really happy.”

The ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ actor had been open about “taking a break” after wrapping up the series. Holland said earlier CinePop in February 2022 that she was “really excited” about “The Crowded Room” but “I can confidently say that after I finish that TV show, I’m going to take a break.”
