Arnold Schwarzenegger could return to politics.

“Terminator” icon revealed during “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” of CNN that, if eligible, he would run for president. Schwarzenegger was born in Austria and therefore cannot become President of the United States; however, the actor was the 38th governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

When asked by host Chris Wallace if he would run for president, Schwarzenegger replied, “Absolutely.”

“Well, yeah, sure,” Schwarzenegger said. “I mean, I think the field was fully open in 2016. And I think the field is open right now. I mean, think about it now. I mean, who’s there? There really isn’t one person who can bring everyone together.

He continued, “Who is it here today that people say OK, isn’t he too old or isn’t he too this or too much that, or is it because now it’s a question of who you vote against rather than who you vote for?”

Schwarzenegger added, “Put me in because it’s, look – it’s a no-brainer. I see so clearly how I could have won that election. I mean, it’s like me and California. And when I was, you know, running for governor, it was clear that people were looking for a new answer, not right or left, but someone who could bring the nation together and not see the other side as the enemy… There are so many things that need to be done. And it can be done. And what makes it so wonderful is because it’s doable. It’s all doable, or at least it’s just people coming together and saying yes, we can do it.

Regarding former President Donald Trump’s chances of being re-elected after the indictment, Schwarzenegger said: “I’m not worried because I don’t think that’s going to happen. But I mean, that’s just my thought.

The ‘Fubar’ star has criticized Trump before, especially following his dig at Schwarzenegger hosting ‘The New Celebrity Apprentice,’ the reality show that partially made Trump a household name.

“I hope you work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings,” Schwarzenegger applauded the then president-elect in January 2017.

She added in 2019 after Trump’s repeated harassment: “I think he’s really in love with me. This is reality. With Trump, he wants to be me.
